A Winning Week for Murray Bridge Trainers
It was another standout week for our Murray Bridge trainers, with strong performances across South Australia and a fantastic finish on our home track.
Summer Beginnings at Balaklava
The week began at Balaklava on Wednesday, where Saint Boom, trained by Stephen Theodore and ridden by Jason Holder, kicked things off with a convincing 1.19-length win.
Not long after, Matthew Seyers’ Synthesise, guided by Kayla Crowther, held on bravely to win by just 0.07 lengths in a close finish.
The success continued when Garret Lynch’s Sandpiper, partnered with Sairyn Fawke, powered home to score by 0.9 lengths.
Port Lincoln Prowess
On Friday at Port Lincoln, Garret Lynch struck again when Jura Vaudois, ridden by Caitlin Tootell, delivered a strong performance to win by 1.47 lengths.
Morphettville Parks
Saturday’s racing at Morphettville Parks added two more wins to the Murray Bridge tally. Eventually, trained by Sarah Rutten and ridden by Teagan Voorham, finished strongly to claim victory by 0.45 lengths.
Later in the day, Michael Hickmott’s Extinguish, with Todd Pannell aboard, was dominant in a 1.54-length win, improving from it’s second place finish just a week earlier, with Josh praising Todd
Winning on Home Turf
Back home at Murray Bridge on Saturday, Lady Lupara, trained by Gary and Dean Alexander and ridden by Caitlyn Munro, proved too sharp as she raced away to win by 0.93 lengths.
The closest finish of the week came shortly after when Grant Young’s Immortal Shield, scored by an incredibly narrow 0.01 lengths, rounding out the third win of the week for the dancing jockey Sairyn Fawke.
The day also featured the running of the Thomas Farms Cup, with Aztec Dancer, trained by Gary & Nichole Searle & Brianna Callanan taking out the trophy.
We also enjoyed a fantastic turnout for the Thomas Farms Family Fun Day, with families taking full advantage of the warm weather and the range of activities on course. The animal farm, water slide, and jumping castle kept the kids entertained all afternoon, creating a lively and fun atmosphere for all.
