THOMAS FARMS RACECOURSE MURRAY BRIDGE
Murray Bridge Racing Club Training Centre
The Murray Bridge Racing Club Training Centre at Gifford Hill is a world-class facility designed to support thoroughbred training at every level. With a diverse range of surfaces and amenities, it caters to both local and interstate trainers. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 4:00am – 10:00am, offering flexible access for early morning routines.
Training Tracks
The Murray Bridge Racing club offers multiple track options:
- Grass Tracks: Open Tuesdays & Saturdays, 4:00am – 9:30am (8:00am on race days)
- Fibretrack Sand: Closes daily at 9:00am (8:00am on race days)
- Uphill Sand Track: Open daily from daylight until 10:00am (excluding Wednesdays)
- Sydney Track: Closes daily at 9:00am (8:00am on race days)
Approval Jumpouts & Barrier Trails Mornings – Track Closes 8:00am at the request of the stweards.
These tracks provide varied training conditions to suit different horse needs and preparation styles.
Equine Swimming Pool
The equine pool is a key feature of the centre, supporting low-impact conditioning and recovery:
Open Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 5:00am – 10:00am
- Saturday: 5:00am – 9:30am
- Sunday: 6:00am – 9:30am
Currently available to MBRC trainers, the pool is ideal for thoroughbred racehorses. For other uses, contact the club directly to discuss terms.
Racing SA
On-Course Stables Complex
The Gifford Hill complex includes 164 state-of-the-art oncourse stables, designed to accommodate a growing horse population. Each barn is equipped with:
- Horse walkers
- Access to all training tracks
- Close Proximity to the equine pool
- Secure, modern infrastructure
Expressions of interest are open for the final barn, which includes 30 stalls. This facility is part of a $13 million development which has made Murray Bridge the Premier training facility in South Austraila.
