The Magic at Murray Bridge is just one week away, with the Magic Millions SA Raceday set for this Saturday, 7 March. With Murray Bridge-trained horses nominated for both the 2YO Classic and the 3YO & 4YO Classic, local trainers are shaping up for an exciting week of racing following impressive wins at Port Lincoln and Morphettville Parks last weekend.

Port Lincoln Cup Day on Friday:

In the Fifth Race at Port Lincoln, Garret Lynch‘s Explicable ran past the winning post for a 0.53 length lead, Tala Hutchinson improving from it’s second place finish two days prior. Following this, Sairyn Fawke ran Olive Baguette to a 0.91 length lead for Garret Lynch in the Sixth Race, it’s first race for the team since transferring from Alex Rae.

Morphettville Parks on Saturday:

After running second place in it’s last two starts, Acapella Moon stormed to a 0.31 length win for Hannah Bryce, with Connor Murtagh riding the winner in Race Five. Congratulations to Hannah Bryce for her first training win.

In Race Nine, Matthew Seyers trained In Love to win by 0.95 lengths, with Isaac Sit on the saddle.

Magic Millions SA Raceday at Murray Bridge:

This Saturday, more than $200,000 in prize money will be contested in the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic, alongside an additional $120,000 on offer in the 3 & 4YO Classic. In the 2YO Classic, Michael Hickmott has nominated Lalor, a promising runner who finished second at Murray Bridge in late January and has since benefited from further preparation leading into the feature race. Matthew Seyers has also entered Vandaross, who most recently competed in the Moorundi Classic during the Murray Bridge Carlton Draught Gold Cup meeting. Both runners shape as strong local contenders in the 2YO Classic.
